For years I tried to eat healthy, to be healthy and to be in shape and feel great, but I just couldn’t seem to nail it and sustain it.

Here are my top tips that helped me get started on the road that got me to my goals:

1.

Get a trainer who is in shape and keeps in great shape – in fact, is someone who keeps on improving – they know what they are doing.!  If you had a broken car would you go to see a reputable mechanic or your beauty therapist?

2.

People who are in shape don’t diet. Getting in shape comes down to having healthy habits. Find someone who can help you create a healthy lifestyle. You can still expect to eat plenty of food, not feel deprived and enjoy the foods you love and get in shape, in fact it’s the only way to permanent success. Find someone who can show you how.

3.

Give up most of your cardio training for resistance training. 2-3 sessions of lifting heavy a week (with good technique) will make you leaner, sexier and curvier than any other type of training.

4.

Surround yourself with like-minded people. Hang out with people with the same goals, it’s inspirational, motivating and catching.

5.

Don’t expect to be perfect. Expect to struggle sometimes, expect to make lots of mistakes and don’t quit when you make them. Just do your best and strive for continual improvement, and never give up.

Success is the sum of lots of small steps.

And, success always leaves clues.

Just wanted to say, besides marrying my husband and having my boys, you're the best choice ever. You've put my health into priority which is quite easy now that you're at the helm. I'm more motivated, less exhausted and generally more keen to live a strong life for the future and for that a heart felt thank you.

I feel really lucky to have connected with you and the program. The last few years have been really difficult since my son Connor died. I have been in so much grief that self-care just didn't happen. I've tried many things that may be considered 'therapy' but these last months have been better for me than anything else I've tried. I've come to realise that this program is so much more than simply getting in shape. Thank you for all you do, your commitment, your passion, sharing your knowledge and expertise and for creating a really wonderful community.

I went into it with many injuries and no strength. My goal was to slowly build up some strength. What I got was 10 kilos weight loss and much more strength than I could of ever hoped for. It's been a blessing for me. Kirsten really listens and helps. Not sure if all the trainers are as good but she is certainly my hero! Everyone should make an appointment to see her!!
